2020 Mom Submits Comments to NIH to Prioritize Maternal Mental Health

Over the summer, the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) Office of Research on Women's Health (ORWH) released a request for information on areas of women’s health that should be prioritized during the upcoming NIH/ORWH Women's Health Consensus Conference (WHCC), which will be held in October 2021. 2020 Mom submitted comments to the NIH in response to this request for information. 

We recommended that maternal mental health be included as an area of focus 
for the upcoming conference. 


Our letter highlighted the need to focus on implementation science, acknowledging that we know what works for most moms with mental health conditions, but now need to ensure that at a population level moms are offered effective and efficient support services.
